Deaconess cares about kids. We safeguard the children of Snohomish County so the future of our community can be bright. If families can be strong, loving, and safe, kids will be free from the risk of abuse, neglect, teen pregnancy, juvenile delinquency, and drug abuse.

Last year, Deaconess served 3,774 children and families. More than 90% of these participants live in poverty. Many are confronting some of the most difficult issues families can face today: substance abuse, teenage pregnancy, child abuse and neglect, homelessness, domestic violence, and sexual abuse.
No single organization can solve all these ills, but we make a significant impact by serving 3,774 children and families each year.

Person-to-person relationships are at the heart of the work we do, as we support parents with developmental disabilities, teenage parents, parents who might otherwise abuse or neglect their children, and families undergoing severe economic stress. We build hope through care, support, nurture, and respect.
