Intensive Case Management (ICM) works to keep children with their families by empowering the family to strengthen their relationships and solve problems with the support of community resources. ICM builds on family strengths to achieve the family’s goals to help improve the way the family members interact.
ICM Case Managers work with families who have been frequently encountered by Child Protective Services and may be at risk of having their children placed outside the home due to chronic neglect. The family voluntarily works with an ICM Case Manager and a CPS social worker. ICM services are offered primarily in the client’s home or at a meeting place in the community.
