Snohomish County Orphanage Association opens and continues through 1956
1918
Name changes to Deaconess Childrens Home
1929
Deaconess Childrens Home becomes a project supported by the Puget Sound Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church (now the United Methodist Church)
1957
Deaconess changes its focus to a residential treatment program for emotionally disturbed adolescents.
1977
Deaconess dedicates a new Counseling and Services Center at 4708 Dogwood Drive in Everett, Washington (our current location)
1980
Deaconess reassesses its program and becomes a non-residential human service agency, offering a variety of programs all building from the family support model.
1996
Washington State awards Deaconess the Governors Award for Child Abuse Prevention Services and Advocacy.
1998
Deaconess celebrates a century of caring.
2003
Board of Trustees completes a strategic planning process, preparing it for a bright future of caring.
